Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TierBuddy ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.
2. Use of Service
TierBuddy is free to use for creating and sharing tier lists. You agree to use the service responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws.
3. User Content
You retain ownership of the tier lists you create. By sharing tier lists publicly, you grant TierBuddy a license to display and distribute your content through our platform.
You agree not to upload content that:
- Violates any laws or regulations
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains malicious code or spam
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, or targets any individual or group
- Doxxes or exposes another person's private or identifying information without their consent
- Sexualizes, or depicts in any sexual or suggestive context, any person who is or appears to be a minor
- Impersonates any person or entity or misrepresents your affiliation with them
- Is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate
4. Prohibited Conduct
In addition to the content restrictions above, the following conduct is strictly prohibited on TierBuddy. You may not use the Service to:
- Harass or bully. Engage in harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, or targeted abuse of any individual or group, including through tier lists, comments, item names, images, or any other content.
- Doxxing. Publish, share, or threaten to share (doxx) another person's private, personal, or identifying information (such as home address, phone number, workplace, financial, or other non-public details) without their explicit consent.
- Sexualize minors. Upload, create, rank, compare, or share any content that sexualizes or depicts in a sexual or suggestive context any person who is, or reasonably appears to be, a minor. This prohibition is absolute and admits no exceptions, artistic, comedic, "ranking," or otherwise. Content that sexually exploits minors will be removed and may be reported to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- Impersonate. Impersonate any person, brand, organization, or other entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation, including by creating or attributing tier lists in a way that falsely represents another person or entity as the author or endorser.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. TierBuddy may treat any content or behavior that it reasonably considers abusive, unlawful, or harmful as a violation of these Terms.
5. Content Removal and Account Termination
TierBuddy may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, remove, delist, or disable access to any content, and suspend or terminate any account, immediately and for any reason, including any actual or suspected violation of these Terms. We are not required to provide a reason, warning, or opportunity to cure before taking action.
Content that is reported or flagged, whether by users or by automated moderation systems, may be automatically flagged for review and may be delisted or hidden while it is under review. We may retain or disclose removed content and related account information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, enforce these Terms, or cooperate with law enforcement.
Removing content or terminating an account does not limit any other rights or remedies available to TierBuddy under these Terms or applicable law.
6. Copyright & DMCA
TierBuddy respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We have a DMCA designated agent registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. We respond to valid DMCA takedown notices and, where appropriate, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. We also actively enforce TierBuddy's own copyrights against sites that scrape or republish our content.

7. Email Communications
By creating an account on TierBuddy, you consent to receive the following emails from us, sent from addresses on the tierbuddy.com domain:
- Transactional emails: account verification, password resets, security alerts, and other account-related messages required to operate the service.
- Product update emails: occasional messages (typically no more than once per month) about new features, new articles or content on the platform, and announcements. These are sent only to existing account holders about our own service — never third-party promotions — and are not a recurring newsletter.
Transactional emails are required to operate your account and cannot be unsubscribed from while your account is active. Every product update email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that is processed immediately, and opting out does not affect your account. You may also withdraw consent at any time by emailing legal@tierbuddy.com.
For users located in the EU, UK, or other regions requiring an explicit legal basis for marketing communications, product update emails are sent on the basis of legitimate interest / soft opt-in as an existing customer, and may be declined at signup or at any time via the unsubscribe link.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties. We honor all unsubscribe requests and maintain suppression of bounced and complained addresses. For details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of Liability
TierBuddy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TierBuddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
